Nolan loves awake time when he’s not tired- he likes to stare at Ben and touch Ben’s face and hair with his hands, exploring. I often catch Nolan staring at his Daddy when Ben is doing something else and not looking our way.
That said, Nolan is not fond of nap time with Daddy, or me, or anyone else for that matter. He doesn’t put up a fight for more than a few minutes though if he’s tired.

On Friday we got called last minute for an opportunity to hit the zoo. I couldn’t miss out even though there were other mundane tasks to attend to like Grocery shopping. Nolan has really been such a good sport while I have to take care of daily things and not pay as much quality play-time attention to him as I’d like. I knew he’d have fun just taking in the scenery at the zoo and being walked around for 3 hours by me and his Grammy.
Quick cute story…on driving out of the zoo parking lot we went over a speedbump and Grammy said something like “Kkkerrr…bump!” to Nolan. Nolan thought that was very funny. He kept laughing out loud every time she said it (which was several- anytime a baby laughs at something, you do it over and over until he doesn’t laugh anymore because it’s just too much fun to see a baby laugh). The other funny thing is Ben as a baby found a similar word she said, something like “Boompers”, very funny too.

Nolan got his first chance to go seed shopping with daddy as we plan our garden for the coming spring.
They are very serious about picking out the best stuff….
