We went on a family hike today- I say “hike” because we didn’t really go very far- it was probably all of 1/2 a mile- some of you may know I’m not able to do any real hiking just now- it was more like a short jaunt and then off the little trail a little ways for a fun picnic. Nolan was of course sappy-happy to be outside in nature, as he always is, and so were we, so it really couldn’t get much better this afternoon….and a picnic wouldn’t be the same without some vino and stinky cheese for starters….

While the Daddy Lam enjoyed his snack, I saw this dead bee just sitting in a crevice of the rock he was sitting on…amazing what you come across if you just take the time to sit down and drink some wine!

Then we came across those little flowers that Thumper always loved….

Big, beautiful, cumulus clouds….

And of course the real star of the picnic, our little 6 1/2 month, 20-pounder…

This one should have been posted before some other videos but too late.  This was taken April 12th I think at which point Nolan was 5  months and 3 weeks.  It’s amazing how much stronger and capable he becomes from week to week.
