Ben built our little guy a small sandbox that can sit on the driveway where he can play a bit while I do my sewing. The other day he leaned over into the sandbox and placed his face in the sand to taste it- he came up with sand granules in his nostrils and around his mouth- he didn’t seem the least bit bothered by it, which is surprising considering how bothersome it is when I get any bit of sand in my mouth from some produce that wasn’t washed thoroughly enough, but he hasn’t tried to eat it since so I guess he figured out it’s not really food.

So I was mopping the kitchen floor with Nolan on my back yesterday and as I was doing so I hear this little soft occasional giggle coming out of Nolan. He was stretching from behind me to watch the mop and he just thought that mop or the way it was moving was pretty funny. He just kept giggling now and then the whole time I was mopping.  So how come you never laugh when you’re mopping? You should- if Nolan thinks it’s funny, it’s funny!!!

Well- it’s official guys. I’m starting my own etsy shop like many, er, most of the crafters in the blogosphere. My official etsy shop is http://www.etsy.com/shop/overallgirl. I only listed one item at the moment because I’m still getting set up- but in the next few weeks you should see somewhere between 30-60 items appear, so check back!
One of the things I have found frustrating about many of the photos on etsy while looking for baby blankets is that few listings ever show an image of the whole blanket. I like to see the whole thing. It’s hard to buy when we already can’t see it in person, but then when we can’t even see the whole thing it’s a lot harder to plunk out the cash (a phrase from my mom). So it’s really important to me in my new etsy shop for people always to get a glimpse of the entire item that I’m selling…as I was thinking about how to go about doing that in the most flattering way, I scanned my front garden and saw the trellis my darling hubby built for the tomatoes this year….those tomatoes will have to wait to grow any taller for a bit.
