Return to Los Altos- Hike and Farm Excursion

December 2nd, 2010 by Busy Mommy

Nolan and I had a vacation this past Sunday.  Daddy had to be away all day so we went on vacation for a day to the Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve.  This is the coolest place!  I went once before with Nolan several months ago.  There’s a farm about a mile walk from the entrance that has goats and sheep and pigs and chickens.  Also an old orchard and a huge barn to eat under.  Nolan walked all around and was most fascinated by these items: This goes along with the fact about Nolan that he just loves mechanical type things.  Or spoons.  I have several times tried to give him a stuffed animal or blanket and he just isn’t interested. But give him a spoon or a plastic rake or a some other hard object and he’s a happy camper and will carry that thing around for quite some time.  I’ve actually started putting him to bed with a spatula.  He likes it!

And now our 13 month old and his shadow:

He also flirted with a cute Punjabi woman.  It was funny to watch.
