Nolan J. – 15 Month Photo Shoot

February 2nd, 2011 by Busy Mommy

It’s been awhile since I did my little “photo shoots” of Nolan- mostly because he’s usually covered in food, snot, or just generally not wearing an outfit that matches or doesn’t have stains.  Plus he’s constantly on the run.  These photo shoots are my replacement for hiring a photographer to take pics- it’s just one way I can save money, plus it’s something that I super enjoy doing.

When we went to Ardenwood Farm this past saturday, I off-handedly thought it might be a good day to get some cute, updated “studio” style pics of Nolan- I wasn’t set on it, but I went ahead and had Ben use the orange-sleeved shirt for contrast and brought along the newsboy cap that I had bought when he was only a couple months old that he finally grew into.  That way, should I be able to capture some good scenes, he’d be ready for it.  As it turns out, the setting was just perfect and by snapping my camera almost constantly for 2 hours, and of course a little photoshop (okay maybe a lot photoshop- you don’t think the backgrounds got that blurry naturally do you?), I got some great 15 month portraiture.

Disclaimer: I am by no means a professional photoshop user and I tend to get a little excited and go overboard with the “adjustments” and they end up looking pretty, lets say, “artistic.”  That’s what you get with an over-ambitious amateur.

Disclaimer #2: There’s a lot here so be forewarned- you just might actually get sick of seeing the same face (as cute as it is) and the same outfit (as cute as it is) and same hat (as cute as it is), a million times.  I’m almost not joking about the million times- there really is A LOT of photos.

Oh yeah- here’s a little token photo of Nolan’s parents.  I know that’s not what you’re really here to see.  Nolan- when you’re big enough to read this, you better want to see your parents’ photo and appreciate all they’ve done for you young man! :)-  Luv you bear.
