I cook a lot- this takes quite a bit of time- and thankfully there’s something that keeps Nolan’s attention far longer than most toys or other activities- cooking! I taught Nolan the word for what I’m doing in there- and he loves to get into my baking drawer and do his own “cooking”. I’m obviously going through a lot of oatmeal- but the price is so worth those hours I get to spend cooking without him complaining.

I’ve been remiss in posting videos so I’m trying to get caught up a little- it’s so fun to hear him say his little words in real life.

My mom taught me the nursery song tender shepherd when I was little, and so when it came time to sing songs to Nolan at bedtime and other times, I found myself singing this song. I sing it to Nolan every night, several times, so it stands to figure that when I started asking Nolan if he wanted to sing a song- he started singing what is clearly tender shepherd. In general, maybe because he’s an energetic boy, he likes to sing it a lot faster than me. :)-
