21 months-took place this evening:

Nolan to Daddy:  “Mommy….peepee…..” (pointing to bathroom) (we have not initiated potty training at all yet- he has of his own accord requested to sit on the toilet now and then after watching us.)

Daddy: “Oh..you want mommy to take you peepee?”

I follow him in there, and put the little toilet seat on the big one.  He sits on it for awhile…mind you he’s done this quite a few times and never actually peed in the toilet.  I haven’t asked him to yet- it’s all been of his own accord.

While he’s “waiting” he points to the shower where he and I just emerged from about 10 minutes previously.

Nolan: “Right back.  Shower- again?”

Mommy:  (laughing) “oh no more shower tonight- it’s time for bed- maybe tomorrow.”  After a time, I see he actually does pee in the toilet!  Not more than a teaspoons’ worth, but yet it still happened!  Us two parents are clapping and cheering like some favorite team won the football game.
