Pushups were certainly around far before Crossfit came on the scene, but in Nolan’s short lifetime, pushups haven’t been something Nolan would even be aware of until I started attending Crossfit 5 months ago and he started hearing me talk to Ben about it and watching me show Ben all the stuff we’ve been doing in class.

I’m not the only one in this family to show Nolan how to do a pushup, but just yesterday evening we went to the park kind of late and we had the whole place to ourselves, so while playing, I incorporated some Crossfit moves like jumping squats and walking lunges to wake myself up and have fun with Nolan, including some pushups.  Then this morning while getting ready for the day, Nolan jumps on his bed and says,

“I’m gonna do some squishups on my bed heah (here).”
