Who Said an Infant Can't Smile?

November 6th, 2009 by Overallgirl

Whoever said infants can’t smile hasn’t seen Ben blowing raspberries on Nolan and pretending to nibble off his ear this morning. Nolan has made other facial expressions that I could easily take for a smile but I’ve been more inclined to say it’s just gas as most would agree. However, there was no mistaking him smiling this morning. Nolan is 16 days old today.

  1. Cooper Says:

Nolan may be smiling because he may think he's finally taught his daddy something: "how to pass gas".

Passing gas in front of others is an art most babies have. But he realizes that most adults just don't like to do it freely when in the company of other people: so I think Nolan feels he has helped his dad learn this vital skill.
