Our family schedule has changed a bit recently, such that now Ben will have a little more time to spend with Nolan.  On a recent friday, he gathered up Nolan and a bunch of gear and they headed off for the entire day- supposedly to the “foothills” for a day of rock collecting and throwing.  Foothills my foot!  As you’ll see from the photos their journey took them all the way to Yosemite Valley.  They had a pretty grand time, and they did bring back some pretty cool rocks.

The day wouldn’t have been completed without a stop for Pizza in Curry Village.

In the Blackberry patch, we attempted to keep two little boys occupied long enough to gather enough blackberries to make the trip worth it.

Of course, it turned out eating the actual blackberries we were so laboriously picking was the most entrertaining thing for them.  Take a look at that face.  At those faces.And what better thing to do but for berry faced friends to hold hands?Nolan thought he liked the idea of Gideon holding his foot even better.

We have some freesia’s in our garden- they have that delightful perfumey scent that you just happen to catch whiffs of as you putter here and there around the vegetable beds.  Nolan brought me some the other day of his own accord!
